It’s back-to-school time, and the Teachers Inspire Ireland initiative is reaching its most exciting phase: in the coming weeks, we will reveal the 20 teachers from across Ireland who have been shortlisted in recognition of their huge impact on their students and wider communities. Four of these teachers – one from each province – will then receive Desmond Awards at our gala event on 4th October.

The Teachers Inspire campaign received hundreds of excellent nominations for teachers from right across Ireland. Stories of inspiring teachers both past and present were shared, with insights into the positive effect they had had.
