Teachers Inspire Ireland provides a living, growing resource of stories to share, celebrate and remind us of the positive difference teachers can make.
Teachers Inspire is curated by Louise O’Neill, who'll help find, share, celebrate and spark a conversation about inspirational teachers and teaching that makes a positive impact in our lives. Louise is also the host of the Teachers Inspire podcast.
Throughout the autumn, Teachers Inspire and Louise will share your stories and choose the four most inspiring of the year. The teachers featured in the stories will be celebrated at an event at DCU's Institute of Education and presented with the unique Teachers Inspire sculpture, designed by sculptor Sandra Bell.

Who is Behind Teachers Inspire
Teachers Inspire is organised and run by Dublin City University. It is generously supported by a philanthropic donation by Mr. Dermot Desmond.
The initiative evolved from a discussion between Dermot Desmond, benefactor of The Desmond Chair in early childhood education at DCU and Prof Brian MacCraith, then President of DCU. Mr. Desmond believed that the value of our extraordinary teachers was not fully recognised and agreed that he would sponsor a nationwide campaign to pay tribute to teachers who have made a positive impact on the lives of their students.
