Ciara Ni É, Writer and Poet
They really gave me that understanding, that our culture and our language in Ireland has a value… I don’t know who I’d be today if I didn’t have Ms. McGrath and Ms. O’Grady.
Ciara Ni É is DCU’s current Irish language writer in residence. She is the founder of REIC, a monthly multilingual spoken word and open mic night that features poetry, music, storytelling and rap. She has performed internationally in New York, London, Brussels, Sweden, and across Ireland. Her work has been published in a variety of journals including Icarus and Comhar and her first poetry collection is due to this year. She has also worked with RTÉ television, BBC Radio, TG4, and The Irish Writers Centre.
