An Inspiration to EveryoneBy Alannah Bradley
During her busy days, while she may be away at meetings, which are few and far between, she goes to so much effort so we the students do not fall behind.
Ms Barron is a total inspiration to everyone in Scoil Mhuire. She goes above and beyond her duty with the school in her full interest at all times. From facilitating after school study from 4-6 and 8-10 and weekend study days and giving up her bank holidays, you never see Ms Barron far from Scoil Mhuire, spending most of her life here. She puts students’ opinions and is open to student feedback, taking all on board.
From the moment you enter her classroom, your senses are awakened and you pay full attention to every last bit of information she has to say about biology. Going to so much effort to maximise her students’ grades in biology like no other teacher, she makes all her own notes all brightly coloured, her own questions linked to the state exams and finally a booklet with all previous exam questions organised in such a way, making it easy to study.
Ms Barron really makes every single student learn biology as she makes it interesting, she sees the downfalls where students lose marks in exams and does her best to fix these problems tailored to each student themselves. During her busy days, while she may be away at meetings, which are few and far between, she goes to so much effort so we the students do not fall behind – so much so that she records a video of herself teaching, which is displayed on the board when she is absent so we continue to learn.
Ms Barron is such a huge asset to the school in every way, not just in her caring, kind attitude but also her ability to get a vast majority of students a high grade in their exams and push students to their potential.
